Nadia ECHCHAOUI-HADJI is currently a practicing physician in anatomopathology specialized in cytological, histological, molecular and immunohistochemical diagnostics. She is affiliated at Anatomy and Cytology Pathological Laboratory, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) IBN-ROCHD, Annaba, Algeria. \r\nPr. ÉCHCHAOUI-HADJI did both her medical and specialty training at the Université Badji Mokhtar in Annaba (UBMA), Algeria. In addition to his clinical activities, she has realized research studies during her Ph.D. degree, which has contributed to a better understanding of giant-cell tumors and pseudo-tumors of bone in the eastern algerian population. \r\nPr. ECHCHAOUI-HADJI is a professor teaching anatomo-pathology at the medical department of the faculty of Medicine, UBMA. \r\n

A 59-year-old man with a history of recurrent dermatofibrosarcoma of the abdominal wall consults for a cough and dyspnea that has been evolving for a few days. The chest x-ray shows 2 opacities in the 2 lung fields. The CT scan shows one nodule in the right upper lobe and two bilateral lower lobe masses.\r\nA biopsy of the right apical pulmonary nodule was performed.\r\nHistopathology shows uniform spindle cells containing elongated nuclei arranged\r\nin a predominantly storiform pattern. The immunostaining pattern is CD34 positive. It is also negative for other markers such as CD117,S-100, HMB45, desmin and actin.\r\nThe patient received targeted therapy with monthly monitoring. In the 4th month he reports the notion of paresthesia of the upper limbs. An MRI was done showing two frontoparietal brain lesions suggestive of secondary locations. The patient is oriented to the radiotherapy.\r\n
